Antiques at Deegan’s

Deegan’s hosts an amazing collection of antiques and artworks spread top to bottom throughout its two floors! They will be open late for Gallery Hop so stop by and find that unique piece you’ve been looking for, as well as their collection of works from artists like Edna Scott, Helen Hall, Arlie Hoffman, Kevin Hoffman, Richard Karon, Russ Stonehouse, Tom Cummings and Bruno Cavallo.

The F.A.R.M. (Fashion Art Retail Market) specializes in Canadian, ethically made clothing & handcrafted items with a love for local artists and makers. Main Supply is our local refillery! They engage in a slower-paced, eco-conscious sustainable and economically friendly products. These interconnecting stores are full of great folks, amazing smells and lovely products and a big love for arts & culture.
For this gallery hop, The Farm will have 2 (count em) vintage clothing popups outside the store from 2-8! Blast From The Past Vintage will have all your fall essentials including crewnecks, hoodies, knit sweaters, jackets and more. Hailey’s Vintage has a bunch of new fall pieces as well as some new field guides and nature related books.
North Bay Museum

The North Bay Museum has an amazing exhibition on display featuring the works of Frederick Hagan, a Canadian painter, printmaker, and instructor. His work was featured at the 1939 New York World’s Fair, museums around the world, and a series of 16 stamps commemorating the exploration of Canada.
Explore 37 of his lithographs from 1942-1953 depicting the Muskoka region in the upstairs gallery of the museum until Oct. 26th!
Good Atlas

Good Atlas is an art, design, and stationery shop aiming to empower artists, creatives and enthusiasts alike, fostering a culture of inspiration, collaboration, and appreciation for the wonder found in the world of stationery and art.
Opening during this upcoming hop, find artist Maddy Young’s debut solo exhibition titled A Forest Made of Stars! This exhibition is an exploration of play, experiment, wonder, joy, and reverence for nature as it exists on a human level - and equally on an astronomical scale. On display from Sept. 20 - Oct. 11. Good Atlas is open Friday just for Downtown Gallery Hop from 4-9!
White Water Gallery

For the upcoming Sept. 20th hop White Water Gallery has an exhibition by Melanie Cookson titled ‘Hearts of Palm’, an interactive textile installation using recycled jeans as the primary material in a colour palette devoted to the waters of Lake Nipissing. Jeans coming from BC across Canada to the North Bay region, this material represents thousands of deeply loved people that exist with or without our knowledge, yet they have probably supported us in some way, symbolizing a re-working of connection, a new time, as an avenue to joy and hope once again.
During the hop you can meet the artist, take in their interactive work, and also enjoy the photo room setup. The exhibition’s last day is Sept. 21st so come out and see it while you can. See White Water Gallery’s website for more details!
WKP Kennedy Gallery

Currently at the WKP Kennedy Gallery there are two exhibitions. In Gallery I, find Curtis Tyler Moore’s solo exhibition 'Landscapes and the calm water of returning home’, capturing the transcendent beauty of the Northern landscape. Moore is the recipient of this years WKP Curatorial Mentorship, an initiative inviting emerging artists without previous solo exhibition experience to submit proposals for their very own show.
In Gallery II view 'Upon a Star', a solo exhibition by emerging artist Corbin Elliot, a Nipissing University alumni. Immerse yourself in Elliot’s contemporary painting approaches that idealize, confront or conceptualize fated aspects of our shared reality, the nature of our lives and human experience, and our liminal presence among the stars.
Both shows are available to view from Sept. 13 - Oct. 26.
